About the Role
Skache Integrated Services Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at our microfinance bank. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining robust financial health, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting our overarching business objectives through accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate accounting records, process daily financial transactions, and manage the general ledger.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and monitor income, expenses, and capital accounts.
- Perform meticulous bank, customer, loan, and investment reconciliations while enforcing internal financial controls.
- Ensure strict compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and microfinance banking guidelines.
- Support internal and external audits alongside the preparation of mandatory regulatory reports.
- Assist with annual budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and actionable financial analysis.
- Process payments with appropriate approvals and monitor daily liquidity to mitigate financial risks.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN is a strong added advantage.
- 2 to 5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally gained within a microfinance bank, commercial bank, or financial institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, regulatory compliance, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
