About the Role
Energy Shield Petrochemical Limited (ESPL) is a leading indigenous oil and gas company incorporated in 2012, operating across major lifting centers in Nigeria including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, and Warri. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Accountant to join our dynamic finance team and support our continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Record daily financial transactions accurately and maintain comprehensive accounting records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to guide management decisions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including group vendor payments.
- Perform timely bank reconciliations and manage petty cash records.
- Monitor expenses, budget performance, and overall operational profitability.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws and statutory financial requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors and assist during periodic audit exercises.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Active ICAN or ACCA certification/student membership is a strong added advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience within a corporate environment.
- Solid knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or ERP systems, alongside advanced MS Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and high ethical standards.
