About the Role
Thronos Technologies Limited is the parent company of the Thronos brand ecosystem, dedicated to helping organizations operate smarter and grow sustainably through technology, innovation, and business strategy. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and professionally competent Accountant to manage our accounting operations, financial records, reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, and statutory financial obligations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting management with accurate financial data while ensuring all activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and complete books of accounts, general ledger postings, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payment schedules, and receipts.
- Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support tax computations, filings, and statutory compliance while liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Strengthen internal financial controls, monitor transactions, and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll-related accounting activities and provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a structured corporate environment.
- Strong preference for ICAN or ACCA qualification/part-qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ANAN, or CFA are added advantages).
- Thorough working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Odoo.
