About the Role
Roxbury Leisure Homes is a dynamic real estate company dedicated to constructing affordable housing for average-income families in Lagos and across Nigeria. We are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Accountant to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing comprehensive financial reports, monitoring transactions, and ensuring accurate, timely financial operations that support our strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and comprehensive accounting documentation.
- Prepare precise financial statements, periodic reports, budgets, and financial summaries.
- Record, monitor, and reconcile daily financial transactions and cash flow.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
- Perform regular bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant Nigerian tax regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
- Identify financial discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly and professionally.
- Provide management with actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven professional accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and general financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard accounting software.
- Exceptional numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional accounting certification such as ICAN or ACCA is a strong added advantage.
