About the Role

Fortune Heights Farms Limited is a leading agricultural enterprise specializing in high-quality catfish production using advanced concrete tank systems and sustainable freshwater resources. In addition to our aquaculture operations, our state-of-the-art poultry division houses approximately 163,000 layer birds across 10 modern pen houses, focusing on premium egg production. As we continue to scale our operations to meet growing market demands, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our finance team at our Odogbolu, Ogun State facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
  • Monitor production costs, inventory levels, and operational expenses for both the catfish and poultry divisions.
  • Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts to support business growth and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, regulatory standards, and internal financial policies.
  • Conduct regular financial audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with farm managers to analyze operational efficiency and profitability of specific agricultural cycles.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the agricultural, manufacturing, or FMCG sector.
  • Professional certification or active progress toward certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
  • Must be willing to work on-site at our Odogbolu, Ogun State location.
