Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, accounting documents, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and timely payment processing.
- Prepare regular bank reconciliations and proactively monitor company cash flow.
- Track income, operating expenses, department budgets, and everyday financial transactions.
- Assist senior management with strategic budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Ensure strict compliance with applicable Nigerian tax laws, statutory regulations, and internal company policies.
- Prepare and file relevant tax returns including VAT, WHT, and PAYE accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor financial transactions closely to identify discrepancies, anomalies, or potential fraud risks.
- Support both internal and external audit processes by providing requested financial documentation.
- Provide management with actionable financial insights to drive profitable business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional accounting experience in a structured organization.
- Active professional qualification or ongoing progression with ICAN, ACCA, or an equivalent body is a strong advantage.
- Prior working experience or exposure within the real estate industry will be considered an added advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of standard accounting principles, financial reporting, and local taxation laws.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software applications.
