About the Role
Medcourt Support Services Limited is a wholly indigenous Health Solutions company based in Lagos, Nigeria, dedicated to bringing a paradigm shift to the medical support services industry through innovative technologies and exceptional service. We are currently seeking a detail-orientated and discreet Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at our Ikosi CMD Road, Lagos location. In this pivotal role, you will oversee comprehensive financial management, maintain strict internal controls, and ensure full statutory compliance while playing a vital part in safeguarding our company assets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead cash flow forecasting, bank transfers, and liquidity management to support daily operations.
- Manage accounts payable, vendor negotiations, and execute accurate monthly payroll processing.
- Enforce expenditure guidelines and maintain rigorous, audit-ready accounting records.
- Handle statutory remittances including VAT, PAYE, and company income tax while liaising seamlessly with external auditors.
- Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly management reports to track financial performance.
- Develop annual budgets and deliver strategic financial advice to executive management to resolve financial challenges and optimise departmental processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage).
- Proven work experience as an Accountant, Finance Officer, or in a similar financial role.
- Strong bookkeeping expertise with absolute mastery of accounting software and Microsoft Office suites.
- In-depth knowledge of current Nigerian tax regulations and statutory compliance frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and strong multi-tasking abilities.
