About the Role
Tempkers Limited is a leading tech-outsourcing and global freelance marketplace connecting organizations and SMEs with skilled professionals. We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Accountant to join our dynamic team and support our financial operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving efficient fiscal management within our financial sector operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate daily accounting records, process financial transactions, and manage the general ledger.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and monitor income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Perform meticulous bank, customer, loan, and investment reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and microfinance banking regulations.
- Support internal and external audits while preparing necessary regulatory reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and strategic financial analysis.
- Process payments and transactions with proper approvals while monitoring liquidity and mitigating financial risks.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN is a strong added advantage.
- 2 to 5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within a microfinance bank, commercial bank, or financial institution.
- Strong proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliations, regulatory compliance, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated core competencies in internal controls, financial analysis, exceptional attention to detail, and high integrity.
