About the Role
Runola Nigeria Limited, an established engineering services company operating in Nigeria since 1997, is seeking a diligent and skilled Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring accuracy in daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies.
- Record and monitor daily financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation.
- Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and comprehensive financial reports.
- Perform regular bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Monitor income, operational expenses, and overall financial activities.
- Assist with payroll administration and other accounting-related processes.
- Ensure systematic documentation and secure filing of all financial documents.
- Support internal and external audit processes, as well as statutory compliance requirements.
- Perform other assigned accounting and administrative duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional experience in an accounting role.
- Strong working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and popular accounting software packages.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Progress towards or completion of ICAN/ACCA certification will be an added advantage.
