We are currently seeking a skilled Accountant to join our finance team and support our growing business operations, particularly within our hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
- Monitor hotel revenue, operating expenses, payments, and overall financial transactions.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify financial records for absolute accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently.
- Monitor cash transactions and ensure proper documentation and balancing.
- Assist senior management with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support payroll preparation and other necessary financial schedules.
- Identify, investigate, and report any financial discrepancies or irregularities promptly.
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard accounting software packages.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high levels of personal integrity and professionalism.
