About the Role
Elysium Lagos, an exquisite fine dining destination located in the heart of Lekki Phase One, is expanding its dynamic team. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee our financial transactions, budgeting, and reporting. Housed within our serene environment—which features a cafe, lounge, garden restaurant, and fine dining section—our establishment prides itself on creating magical experiences. As our Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our growing hospitality family while working in a vibrant, nature-inspired setting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and monthly profit and loss reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax computations, and statutory remittances in compliance with Nigerian regulations.
- Collaborate with management to develop budgets, control costs, and improve financial efficiency across all departments.
- Maintain secure financial records and support internal and external audit processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality, restaurant, or retail sector.
- Professional certification or ongoing progression (such as ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
