About the Role
A4&T Power is a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company specializing in renewable energy solutions. We deliver Solar Home Systems (SHS), Mini-Grid construction, Roof-Top installations, and Commercial & Industrial projects. Our innovative technology provides clean, accessible energy to homes, SMEs, communities, and corporate offices across Nigeria. We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join our finance team and play a crucial role in managing our financial operations while supporting our mission to expand renewable energy access.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, process journal entries, invoices, and payments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with full reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Manage accounts payable and receivable; monitor supplier payments and follow up on outstanding customer invoices
- Assist in annual budget preparation, monitor budget performance, and conduct financial analysis
- Prepare and file statutory returns including VAT, PAYE, WHT, pension, and other applicable taxes
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate salary computations and tax deductions
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions
- Provide financial data and reports to support management decision-making
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 1-2 years of professional accounting experience
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA) is advantageous
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and numerical accuracy
- Knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards and tax regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
