About the Role
Brilliant Performance Solutions Limited is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Accountant to join our growing finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing comprehensive financial reports, and ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and accounts receivable and payable.
- Reconcile financial transactions, accounts, and discrepancies to ensure the absolute integrity of financial data.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, adjustments, and accruals.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, expense reports, and other routine financial transactions.
- Manage payroll processing, including accurate data entry, calculations, and payroll reconciliations.
- Monitor financial transactions and expenses to ensure strict compliance with local regulations and internal company policies.
- Collaborate with departments such as purchasing, sales, and operations to coordinate financial activities.
- Provide support to auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory agencies during financial examinations.
- Conduct timely monthly bank reconciliations and track annual budget performance.
- Minimum of an HND or BSc degree in Accounting or a related financial discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven professional accounting experience.
- Prior working experience within the FMCG sector will be a distinct advantage.
- Previous experience working in an audit firm is highly desirable and considered a strong plus.
- Strong proficiency in financial software, spreadsheets, and general ledger maintenance.
