About the Role

We are currently looking for a talented and dedicated Accountant to join our finance team and support our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all petty cash disbursements comply with company policy and authorization limits.
  • Process bills and supplier invoices, ensuring proper approvals before payment.
  • Perform periodic creditor account reconciliations and maintain the fixed assets register.
  • Execute bank reconciliations, cash flow reporting, and monitor sufficient fund availability.
  • Ensure tax compliance for all transactions, including VAT and WHT.
  • Manage credit control, follow up on outstanding receivables, and ensure collections within agreed terms.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable subledgers, trial balance integrity, and journal postings.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with financial reporting, annual audits, and budgeting processes.
  • Take a leadership role in the company's procurement functions and draft relevant process manuals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, financial applications, and accounting packages such as Sage.
  • Strong knowledge of local accounting laws, tax systems, and financial regulations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, high accuracy, and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional accounting certification or active commencement of professional exams is an added advantage.
