About the Role
Elvaridah, a leading Business Development Company, is looking for a dedicated and meticulous Accountant to join our team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining robust financial controls, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring financial accuracy for our upscale property operations. Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledgers for the property.
- Record and reconcile daily income from room bookings, accommodation, and other revenue streams.
- Monitor and track operational expenses, purchases, petty cash, and vendor disbursements.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Perform timely bank, cash, and payment reconciliations while investigating any discrepancies.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt invoice processing and collections.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management to optimize financial performance.
- Assist with payroll preparation, statutory compliance, tax filings, and audit readiness.
- Provide actionable financial insights to management to support strategic business decisions.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within hospitality, hotels, or real estate.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and property management systems.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian tax regulations, statutory compliance, and financial controls.
- Exceptional numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Residency within or in close proximity to Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, Victoria Island, and surrounding areas in Lagos.
