We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Accountant to join our growing finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our financial records, monitoring transactions, and providing actionable financial insights to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports in accordance with company policies.
- Process vendor invoices, employee payments, and regular account reconciliations efficiently.
- Monitor daily cash flow, assist with annual budget preparation, and track departmental expenditures.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, statutory requirements, and accounting standards.
- Conduct timely bank reconciliations and monitor all incoming and outgoing financial transactions.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation, digital records, and audit trails.
- Support senior management with financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic recommendations.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Accounting obtained from a recognized Private University.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- High level of accuracy, numerical aptitude, and exceptional attention to detail.
