We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team and support our operations in the construction and real estate sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring project costs, and ensuring strict compliance with statutory requirements across all business activities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records, general ledgers, trial balances, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitor and record construction project costs, tracking expenditure against approved budgets to ensure optimal profitability.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, verifying invoices, processing subcontractor payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and comprehensive monthly financial reports.
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns, statutory deductions, and compliance with Nigerian tax laws.
- Support payroll processing, employee-related accounting, and maintenance of internal financial controls.
- Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA is a strong advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within construction, engineering, or real estate.
- Demonstrated experience in project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
