We are currently looking for a diligent and analytical Account Reconciliation Officer to join our dynamic finance team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our financial records by meticulously comparing internal data with external sources such as bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer balances. Key Responsibilities- Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records on a regular basis to ensure complete accuracy.
- Investigate, identify, and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in financial records promptly.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly reconciliation reports and present findings to the management team.
- Monitor, track, and verify the accuracy of accounts payable and receivable records.
- Assist the finance team during month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless and accurate financial reporting across the organization.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or any related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant proven experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
- In-progress or completed professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA will be a strong added advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Tally, and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite.
