About the Role

Orient Global Manufacturing Limited is looking for a dedicated and experienced Account Officer to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely statutory remittances, and robust financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and petty cash transactions, alongside routine control accounts reconciliation.
  • Prepare balance sheets, income statements, monthly management accounts, and comprehensive financial statements in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
  • Process accounting journals, payment vouchers, and receipt vouchers, ensuring all transactions are accurately posted on QuickBooks.
  • Handle the preparation, processing, and timely filing of statutory returns with relevant Nigerian tax regulators, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, NSITF, Pension, and NHF.
  • Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, business performance reviews, and compute financial ratios to support strategic decision-making.
  • Compute payroll, process salaries and wages, and assist with reviewing expense and payroll records.
  • Collaborate periodically with external auditors to facilitate routine checks and ensure full compliance with financial laws.
  • Assist in financial forecasting, risk analysis, budgeting, monitoring spending, and advising management on cost reduction and profitability strategies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage is strictly required.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory remittance processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, high attention to detail, and integrity.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
