About the Role

We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Account Officer to join our growing finance team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, streamlining our accounts receivable processes, and ensuring seamless financial transactions that support our business expansion across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and log cash receipt vouchers accurately into the company accounting software.
  • Verify that payment amounts precisely match the invoices sent to customers to prevent discrepancies.
  • Maintain a highly organized and secure filing system for all physical and digital payment records.
  • Conduct thorough customer account reconciliations by comparing customer statements with the company ledger.
  • Monitor customer accounts proactively to track overdue payments, outstanding balances, and unapplied credits.
  • Update ledgers and adjust accounts receivable records promptly when errors or discrepancies are identified and resolved.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts receivable management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet management and data analysis capabilities.
  • Familiarity with standard ERP and accounting software packages.
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and high ethical standards.
