About the Role
BATOIL Services is a leading indigenous survey and engineering company offering specialized services including geophysical investigation, corrosion control, and marine operations. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to lead our finance team and contribute to our continued growth. In this vital role, you will maintain financial records, ensure strict compliance with Nigerian financial regulations, and provide actionable financial insights to guide executive decision-making within our dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee invoice processing, purchase orders, vendor payments, and client follow-ups to ensure timely cash flow.
- Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and regular bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and relevant accounting standards.
- Manage end-to-end payroll administration, employee benefits, and compensation packages in alignment with employment laws.
- Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts while recommending strategic cost-reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during tax and financial audits by providing accurate documentation.
- Manage efficient month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance overall financial operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Ten to twelve years of proven progressive experience in corporate accounting and financial management.
- Mandatory active professional certification such as ACCA or ICAN.
- Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software like Zoho Books and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory compliance standards.
