As the parent brand behind trusted names like Natures Gentle Touch, Nonstop, and Hairsavvy, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving our mission by overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic business planning to foster continued organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation, ensuring strict compliance with company accounting procedures and policies.
- Prepare accurate monthly and year-end closing of books, delivering comprehensive financial reports for management and statutory purposes.
- Implement and optimize the company's chart of accounts, accounting systems, and technology to enhance financial reporting and internal controls.
- Facilitate a smooth external audit process by ensuring the timely availability of all required financial and non-financial records.
- Develop and maintain a robust cost accounting system, including standard and actual costs, alongside variance investigation for effective cost management.
- Manage treasury operations, budgeting processes, tax preparation, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related financial discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of proven accounting experience specifically within the manufacturing industry.
- Professional accounting certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA are highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, tax preparation, and statutory compliance.
