About the Role
Cedarcrest Hospitals, a leading specialist medical center in Abuja, Nigeria, is looking for a skilled and compassionate Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this critical role, you will provide immediate, life-saving care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions and traumatic injuries, ensuring adherence to international standards of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients arriving at the Accident and Emergency department based on the severity of their conditions.
- Administer emergency nursing care, medications, and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician directives.
- Monitor patient vital signs closely and respond swiftly to any sudden changes in clinical status.
- Assist doctors with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and minor surgeries within the department.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to distressed patients and their families during critical situations.
- Valid registration and current practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of active clinical experience in an accident and emergency or trauma care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
