About the Role
Myrtle Management Consultants is seeking a vigilant and professional Access Control Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our premises by monitoring the movement of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and materials. You will ensure that only authorized individuals gain entry while maintaining a secure and welcoming environment aligned with our operational excellence standards.
Key Responsibilities- Control and monitor the access and egress of all personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering and leaving the facility.
- Verify identification credentials, access permits, passes, and proper authorization.
- Maintain precise, up-to-date daily logs and records of all entries and exits.
- Manage contractor and visitor access protocols efficiently.
- Conduct routine security checks and monitor gates, barriers, and access control hardware.
- Identify and immediately report suspicious activities, security breaches, or unauthorized access attempts.
- Support personnel accountability measures and assist during emergency mustering.
- Ensure that restricted zones remain accessible exclusively to authorized personnel.
- Comply with all company health, safety, environment (HSE), and emergency response procedures.
- Minimum of an SSCE or OND qualification from a recognized institution.
- 2 to 3 years of proven experience in access control, security operations, or facility management.
- Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or oil and gas environments will be a strong advantage.
- Basic computer literacy and excellent record-keeping abilities.
- Relevant security certifications or specialized training will be considered an asset.
