About the Role

Pan-Afrique Maritime Limited is a wholly indigenous Nigerian maritime services provider duly registered with NIMASA, specializing in vessel manning, ship management, and logistics. We are currently seeking a dedicated and competent Able Seaman (AB) to support our growing offshore fleet. In this role, you will work closely with the deck crew to ensure safe navigation, efficient cargo operations, and the overall maintenance of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, chipping, scraping, and painting of the ship's hull, deck, and superstructure.
  • Stand navigational watches as a lookout or helmsman under the direction of the Master or Officer on Watch.
  • Assist with mooring, unmooring, and anchoring operations safely and efficiently.
  • Handle cargo gear, rig equipment, and ensure proper stowage of supplies and cargo.
  • Comply with all international and local safety regulations, including ISM and ISPS codes.
  • Participate in regular emergency drills and safety meetings onboard.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months of verified rank and offshore experience.
  • Valid STCW II/5 certification as an Able Seaman.
  • Valid NIMASA discharge book and relevant maritime medical certificates.
  • Strong understanding of maritime safety protocols and deck operations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment offshore.
