The Katsina State Hospitals Services Management Board invites applications from qualified professionals for the position of X-Ray Technician (GL 07). Operating across 18 General Hospitals, the Government House Clinic, and specialized medical centers, our board is committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to the citizens of Katsina State. In this role, you will perform routine radiographic procedures to assist in clinical diagnosis and patient management, ensuring the highest standards of safety and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine X-ray examinations as requested by medical officers and clinicians.
- Prepare and correctly position patients for various imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort.
- Operate X-ray machines and related radiographic equipment with precision.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety and protection standards for patients and staff.
- Assist in processing, reviewing, and archiving radiographic images.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in line with hospital policies.
- Report equipment faults promptly and assist in routine maintenance checks.
- Ensure the cleanliness, sterility, and safety of the imaging unit at all times.
- Provide clear instructions, guidance, and reassurance to patients throughout procedures.
- Possession of a Diploma or Certificate in X-Ray Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of radiographic procedures and diagnostic imaging.
- Solid understanding of radiation safety practices and regulatory protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.
- Relevant clinical experience in a recognized healthcare facility is an added advantage.
