About the Role

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and improving the University's official website and designated digital platforms, ensuring high security, optimal accessibility, accuracy, reliability, and a strong institutional image aligned with our global brand.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, update, and maintain the University's website and designated digital platforms to ensure seamless user experience.
- Publish approved news, announcements, academic information, and multimedia content promptly.
- Ensure fast, accessible, responsive, and cross-browser website performance across all mobile and desktop devices.
- Implement robust security controls, regular backups, and active monitoring against vulnerabilities, malicious activity, spam, unauthorized access, and defacement.
- Develop new web pages, microsites, portals, online forms, and other approved digital solutions to support university operations.
- Apply search engine optimization (SEO) and web analytics to strengthen online visibility and prepare periodic performance reports.
- Collaborate closely with Corporate Affairs, ICT, and other university units to ensure accurate, current, and brand-consistent content.
- Provide technical support for digital communication initiatives and perform other related ICT duties as assigned.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrable professional experience in website design, development, and administration, supported by a strong and verifiable portfolio of past projects.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, WordPress, PHP, Python, MySQL, web frameworks, server administration, website security, SEO, and analytics.
- Relevant professional certifications and prior working experience in a tertiary institution or a similarly structured large organization will be added distinct advantages.
- Must possess excellent technical troubleshooting abilities, sound writing skills, strong teamwork, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
