About the Role
The Qibla Co. is a purpose-driven event management and consulting firm built for organisations that hold themselves to a higher standard. We combine strategy, execution, and ethics under one roof, delivering end-to-end experiences from conferences to intimate masterclasses. We are currently seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will take a folder full of raw clips and find the powerful story hiding inside it, ensuring every event lives on through captivating visual content.
Key Responsibilities- Edit raw video footage from various corporate events, conferences, fundraising dinners, and masterclasses into polished, engaging final cuts.
- Collaborate closely with the creative and production teams to understand project objectives, brand guidelines, and storytelling goals.
- Select appropriate background music, sound effects, and color grading to enhance the emotional impact and professional quality of each video.
- Organize and manage media assets efficiently, maintaining a clean and structured archiving system for all project files.
- Deliver final video assets optimized for various digital platforms, including websites, social media channels, and stakeholder presentations.
- Proven professional experience as a Video Editor, preferably within the event management, media production, or creative agency sectors.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional storytelling abilities, pacing, sound design, and visual aesthetic.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
