About the Role
Ultimum Limited, a fast-growing beverage manufacturing subsidiary of Union Camerounaise de Brasseries, is seeking a dedicated Utilities Operator to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for the seamless operation and autonomous maintenance of critical utility plants, ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor utility plants including water systems, CO2, steam, electrical systems, compressed air, cooling plants, and effluent treatment.
- Perform machine rotations and execute autonomous maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, tightening, and inspection.
- Conduct routine quality checks, including CO2 purity, water pH, boiler conductivity, and dew points, recording data in HACCP log sheets.
- Safely collect, store, and dose chemicals in compliance with set industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the PM Specialist during planned maintenance days and participate in breakdown analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Document maintenance activities and system performance accurately using SAP PM and physical logbooks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement teams aimed at optimizing utilities generation, distribution, and consumption efficiencies.
- NABTEB or WAEC Technical certification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production and maintenance roles, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of utilities systems including water, gas, and electrical infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret simple engineering manuals and documentation.
- Familiarity with basic MS Office applications and SAP PM reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to workplace safety practices.
