About the Role
SIMS Nigeria Limited, a leading distributor of major electronic brands such as Samsung, Royal, and Parsun, is seeking a dependable and professional Truck Driver to join our growing logistics team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our reputation for excellence by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of home appliances to our branches and customers across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Drive delivery trucks to transport goods safely to stores, warehouses, and customers according to scheduled routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, mid-trip, and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical defects immediately.
- Load and unload merchandise securely, verifying product quantities and documentation accurately.
- Adhere strictly to company safety policies, traffic laws, and departmental guidelines at all times.
- Maintain high levels of customer service during deliveries, ensuring a professional representation of the SIMS brand.
- Monitor fuel efficiency, truck utilization, and cargo safety to meet established key performance indicators.
- Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional truck or tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Must meet all physical and regulatory requirements for commercial driving.
- Strong basic math skills for computing loads, distances, and measurements.
- Good communication skills with the ability to read maps, follow written instructions, and complete routine logs.
