Key Responsibilities- Operate the TMR (Total Mixed Ration) mixer wagon and associated heavy machinery to accurately mix and distribute nutritious feed to dairy cattle according to specific nutritional formulas.
- Conduct thorough pre-operation and post-operation inspections of the TMR machine and equipment to ensure optimal mechanical condition and safety compliance.
- Maintain precise daily records of all feed quantities mixed, distributed, and consumed to assist with inventory management and nutritional tracking.
- Strictly adhere to all farm safety protocols, bio-security measures, and equipment operating guidelines to prevent workplace accidents and machinery downtime.
- Collaborate closely with farm supervisors, nutritionists, and other agricultural workers to report any equipment faults or livestock feeding anomalies promptly.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven hands-on experience operating TMR mixer wagons, tractors, or similar heavy agricultural equipment in a commercial dairy or livestock farm setting.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Strong understanding of farm safety standards, equipment operating procedures, and basic animal husbandry practices.
- Good record-keeping skills and attention to detail for tracking feed inventories accurately.
- Must be willing and ready to work full-time on-site at our Ogere Remo facility.
