About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified manufacturing conglomerate, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician – Plumbing Engineering to join our dynamic maintenance and utilities team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will ensure the seamless operation of plant water distribution networks, drainage systems, and utility piping infrastructure to support our large-scale manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain comprehensive water supply systems, drainage networks, sanitary piping, valves, and associated plumbing fixtures.
- Perform meticulous preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize operational disruptions and guarantee continuous utility service delivery.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults including leaks, blockages, corrosion, and pressure inconsistencies across industrial facilities.
- Fabricate and install piping components such as PVC, HDPE, GI, stainless steel, and copper pipes according to engineering blueprints.
- Comply strictly with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, including Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on industrial plumbing experience within a manufacturing, process plant, or heavy industrial environment.
- Relevant technical qualifications in plumbing technology or related mechanical and utility engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated expertise in reading plumbing blueprints, pipe threading, joining techniques, and pump maintenance.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively during shift rotations and emergency repairs.
