Stella Maris Schools in Abuja is a well-established private educational institution offering nursery, primary, and secondary education. We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Technical Drawing Teacher to join our esteemed secondary school faculty in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver comprehensive Technical Drawing lessons in line with the approved Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Teach essential concepts including geometric construction, orthographic projection, isometric drawing, and dimensioning.
- Demonstrate the correct use of drawing instruments, scales, and technical materials while supervising practical sessions.
- Develop detailed lesson plans, design instructional materials, and assess students' drawings for accuracy and presentation.
- Prepare junior and senior secondary students effectively for WAEC, NECO, and other relevant examinations.
- Maintain accurate academic records, mark assignments, and proactively monitor individual student progress.
- Introduce computer-aided design (CAD) tools where applicable to enhance modern technical skills.
- Ensure effective classroom management and proper maintenance of all school drawing equipment.
- Possess a relevant degree or approved qualification in Technical Drawing, Technical Education, Engineering Drawing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
- Valid TRCN registration or license, in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Strong command of technical drawing principles and practical drafting techniques.
- Exceptional competence in lesson planning, verbal communication, and classroom management.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software will be an added advantage.
