About the Role
Premiere Royale International School and ICONS Comprehensive College, located in the serene environment of Ijapo Estate, Akure, Ondo State, is looking for a passionate and qualified Technical Drawing Teacher. Our institution is dedicated to academic excellence, sound moral character building, and the integration of digital learning with practical vocational skills. We prepare our secondary students rigorously for national examinations including WAEC, NECO, and UTME. As a member of our teaching faculty, you will play a vital role in fostering spatial intelligence, technical accuracy, and creative problem-solving among our students.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in Technical Drawing and related pre-vocational subjects to secondary school students.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, instructional materials, and scheme of work in line with national curriculum standards.
- Assess, grade, and provide constructive feedback on student drawings, projects, and periodic examinations.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and well-resourced drawing studio or classroom environment conducive to practical learning.
- Prepare students adequately for external examinations such as WAEC and NECO.
- Monitor individual student progress and provide extra guidance or remedial support to struggling learners.
- Participate actively in school co-curricular activities, parent-teacher meetings, and continuous professional development programs.
- Possession of a Bachelor degree in Education (B.Ed), B.Sc, HND, or relevant equivalent in Technical Education, Architecture, Engineering, or related fields.
- Proven teaching experience in Technical Drawing at the secondary school level is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in both manual drafting techniques and modern computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
