About the Role
The Dangote Group is Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, renowned for excellence in manufacturing, quality products, and sustainable operations across the continent. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer, Pan-Africa, to provide vital technical, operational, and analytical support for our extensive cement manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical and analytical support to the COO on cement manufacturing and plant operational matters across Pan-African businesses.
- Review plant performance across quarrying, raw material preparation, kilns, clinker production, grinding, and dispatch.
- Monitor operational KPIs, consolidate performance reports, and highlight significant deviations requiring management attention.
- Track major CAPEX, plant optimization, debottlenecking, and operational improvement projects.
- Translate detailed technical information into executive dashboards, trend analyses, and management reports.
- Coordinate with Plant Directors and operational leadership to ensure alignment of priorities and follow up on agreed actions.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, process, or industrial engineering; postgraduate degree or MBA is an advantage.
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in cement manufacturing or a comparable heavy industrial environment.
- Strong expertise in process optimization, operational excellence methodologies, root-cause analysis, and project monitoring.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
