About the Role
Jamub Group is a leading Nigerian conglomerate delivering innovative B2B, B2G, and B2C solutions across multiple economic sectors. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to join our executive office. In this role, you will provide critical technical, analytical, and administrative support to the Group Managing Director (GMD), ensuring seamless coordination and execution of engineering activities, construction projects, and strategic business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical and analytical support to the GMD on construction projects, engineering activities, and other strategic technical matters.
- Review project reports, technical proposals, engineering drawings, work programmes, BOQs, and cost information submitted to the GMD.
- Monitor the progress and performance of key projects, highlighting potential delays, risks, cost concerns, and technical issues requiring management attention.
- Conduct periodic site visits as directed and submit concise reports with actionable findings and recommendations.
- Prepare briefing notes, technical summaries, presentations, and comprehensive reports for management meetings.
- Follow up on directives issued by the GMD, ensuring effective implementation across relevant departments, projects, and business units.
- Coordinate with the PMO, Engineering and Construction, Quantity Surveying, Procurement, and Finance teams to gather critical updates.
- Track key project milestones, deliverables, and outstanding actions to ensure adherence to approved scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Identify recurring operational and technical challenges, proposing strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information and documents handled within the Office of the GMD.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents, BOQs, and drawings.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in executive reporting and presentation.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
