About the Role
RACHAM Empowerment & Humanitarian Foundation (REHF) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our mission of empowering vulnerable children, orphans, and indigent communities across Nigeria. In this impactful role, you will provide quality education and foundational learning tailored to the unique needs of children in a supportive residential environment, helping them overcome educational barriers and build a brighter future.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, inclusive, and effective daily lessons to children of varying age groups and learning capacities.
- Design and implement a structured curriculum that supports academic growth, moral development, and critical thinking.
- Monitor student progress, identify learning gaps, and provide targeted academic support or remedial teaching.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and personal development.
- Collaborate with residential caregivers and foundation staff to track the holistic well-being and educational milestones of each child.
- Integrate child safeguarding principles into all daily teaching and classroom management activities.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably within an NGO, orphanage, or specialized educational setting.
- Relevant academic qualification in Education (NCE, B.Ed, or equivalent).
- Comprehensive knowledge of child safeguarding, protection policies, and positive behavior management.
- Exceptional patience, integrity, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Willingness to live and work within or near the foundation's residential community in Nigeria.
- Ability to provide verifiable professional references and pass background checks.
