About the Role
Oando PLC is one of Africa’s largest integrated energy solutions providers with a primary listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange and a secondary listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Key Responsibilities- Manage the execution of the organization’s tax strategy, tax tactics, advisory, and compliance matters.
- Approve tax accruals, tax assets, and liabilities to support financial reporting, budgeting, and treasury processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, consultants, and regulatory bodies to minimize disputes.
- Drive the implementation of robust internal controls to minimize tax exposures and legacy liabilities.
- Mentor, coach, and develop the tax team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution.
- Active membership in ICAN or ACCA, alongside CITN certification.
- Minimum of 8 years of cumulative tax experience in a reputable consulting firm or corporate in-house tax department.
- At least 3 years of specific experience in the oil and gas sector or handling oil and gas tax deliverables.
- Proven expertise in upstream oil and gas tax interpretation, tax audit management, and cross-functional business partnering.
