About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a proud part of the multinational consumer goods leader PZ Cussons Plc, manufactures and distributes beloved household brands such as Imperial Leather, Morning Fresh, and Thermocool. We are currently looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Tax Manager to ensure our business operates confidently and efficiently across a complex tax landscape in Nigeria and broader African markets.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, filings, and statutory remittances across multiple entities to maintain strict regulatory compliance.
- Drive confidence in financial reporting through robust tax reconciliations, compliance monitoring, and internal reviews.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with tax authorities and external partners to resolve queries efficiently.
- Support strategic tax planning by providing expert analysis, forecasts, and insights to inform budgeting and business decisions.
- Contribute to strong corporate governance by managing compliance trackers, supporting audits, and handling tax investigations.
- Provide expert tax guidance across business units, including operations in Ghana and Kenya.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CITN is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in a tax-focused finance role within an FMCG, multinational, or complex corporate environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian tax legislation including VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE, and Transfer Pricing.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax accounting processes.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office suite, particularly advanced Excel.
