About the Role
Akintola Williams Deloitte, the oldest indigenous professional services firm in Nigeria and a proud member of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, is seeking an exceptional Tax Compliance Manager to join our dynamic Finance Team in Lagos. In this vital role, you will lead our end-to-end tax compliance activities, ensuring full alignment with Nigerian tax and pension regulations while providing expert advisory support to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage staff tax administration, including PAYE, statutory deductions, employee remittances, TCC processing, annual audits, and PenCom certification compliance.
- Oversee partners' tax administration by handling PIT filings, TCC processing, WHT utilization, and related regulatory correspondence.
- Handle the firm's overall tax administration, including monthly VAT computations, client and vendor WHT remittances, and acting as the resident tax expert for Deloitte West Africa.
- Manage Federal and State tax audits, driving objection formalities and resolving queries from revenue authorities.
- Prepare annual tax calendars, monthly compliance status reports, and manage all balance sheet tax ledgers.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives and tax compliance projects within the finance function.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Accounting or a related discipline with a minimum of Second Class Lower or Lower Credit.
- Minimum of five O-Level credits including Mathematics and English Language in a single sitting.
- Fully qualified professional membership of ICAN, ACCA, or CITN.
- At least 6 years of progressive tax experience with demonstrated engagement with Nigerian revenue authorities.
- Strong command of Nigerian tax laws, advanced Excel proficiency, and familiarity with ERP systems or tax compliance software.
