About the Role

Malaria Consortium is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supply Chain Technical Assistant to join our team in Gombe. In this vital role, you will provide technical support on the supply chain management of Azithromycin Mass Drug Administration (MDA) commodities under the SARMAAN II project. You will ensure rational and effective commodity management, including last-mile distribution, reverse logistics, inventory control, and end-to-end visibility across Gombe State to help reduce under-five mortality and morbidity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure supply chain activities meet program needs timely and comply with donor requirements and organizational policies.
  • Carry out monthly stock status assessments of all AZM MDA commodities at the state central medical store.
  • Provide technical support to strengthen procurement, quantification, and supply chain management at the state level.
  • Coordinate last-mile distribution, reverse logistics, and ensure availability of pharmacovigilance forms.
  • Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to reconcile logistic data and maintain updated inventory databases.
  • Facilitate routine monitoring, supportive supervisory visits, and review meetings for LMIS reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy with a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven expertise in supply chain and logistics management of public health commodities, particularly in campaign or community-level implementations.
  • Familiarity with the National Supply Chain system of the Ministry of Health and LMIS.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills at state and LGA levels, with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, facilitation, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel and database tools.
