About the Role

Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc is seeking a dedicated Stores & Production Materials Controller to join our dynamic team at the Badore Boatyard / Naval Dockyard in Victoria Island, Lagos. In this vital role, you will serve as the crucial operational link between production planning, procurement, stores, and material issuance, ensuring that the right materials are always available, approved, traceable, and ready for production when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, verify, and document incoming materials, components, and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records and material traceability.
  • Coordinate QC release of controlled materials and assess work packages as ready, partially ready, or not ready based on material availability.
  • Issue materials against authorised vessels, work orders, or production requirements and track consumption, returns, and variances.
  • Monitor stock levels, reorder thresholds, supplier lead times, and maintain critical-material shortage registers.
  • Ensure appropriate storage and HSE controls for specialized materials including GRP chemicals, coatings, timber, and marine equipment.
Qualifications
  • Degree or HND in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Inventory Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of proven experience in stores, warehouse, or inventory operations within marine, shipbuilding, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using ERP or inventory management systems alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, high integrity, and exceptional organizational capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across production, procurement, and quality control departments.
