About the Role
Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a global research and policy nonprofit dedicated to discovering and promoting effective solutions to global poverty problems. We bring together researchers and decision-makers to design, rigorously evaluate, and refine these solutions. As our Embedded Labs Program continues to expand across multiple countries and sectors, we are looking for a dedicated Senior Policy Manager to help shape its next phase of growth, strengthen internal systems, deepen external outreach, and support individual government engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical assistance and project management support to individual government Lab engagements from design through implementation.
- Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) efforts to assess program impact and establish best practices for government engagement.
- Drive knowledge management, training, and thought leadership by developing onboarding materials, case studies, toolkits, and evidence reviews.
- Identify and pursue business development and fundraising opportunities in collaboration with country office and global staff.
- Coordinate strategic events such as summits, conferences, workshops, and the annual Cross-Country Learning Exchange.
- Master's degree in economics, development, international relations, public administration, public policy, or a closely related field strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience analyzing and communicating complex research results, including at least 1 year working with large NGOs or governments in LMIC contexts.
- Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated experience using rigorous evidence for international development policy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical research into clear written and presentation formats for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multi-country projects, supervise staff teams, and successfully complete tasks on tight deadlines.
