We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate SPECT Radiographer to join our cutting-edge diagnostic team in Abuja, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) and PET scans in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Prepare patients thoroughly, explain imaging procedures clearly, and provide compassionate reassurance throughout the process.
- Strictly adhere to radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards to protect patients, medical staff, and self.
- Operate, maintain, and conduct routine quality control checks on advanced SPECT and diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and nuclear medicine specialists to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Participate actively in departmental quality assurance programs, audits, and clinical research initiatives.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior radiographers, students, and new team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or a recognized equivalent healthcare field.
- Master’s degree or advanced specialized imaging certifications (CT, MRI) will be an added advantage.
- Mandatory certification and proven expertise in SPECT imaging techniques.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional radiographer experience within a modern clinical or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in utilizing PACS and RIS healthcare systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of radiation protection principles, healthcare regulations, and infection control standards.
