About the Role
Independent Project Monitoring Company Limited (IPMC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Specialist in Sustainable Finance & Investment Advisory to join our professional consulting team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering comprehensive financial analysis, investment appraisal, and transaction advisory support across infrastructure, sustainability, and industrial development sectors. Working alongside multidisciplinary experts, you will help our clients achieve their strategic goals by assessing project bankability and unlocking innovative financing solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake rigorous commercial and financial assessments of proposed investment and infrastructure projects.
- Develop robust financial models, investment appraisals, cash-flow projections, and comprehensive sensitivity analyses.
- Assess project bankability, funding requirements, optimal capital structures, and associated investment risks.
- Identify appropriate commercial financing, development finance, and sustainability-linked investment opportunities.
- Prepare compelling investment concept notes, business cases, and detailed financial feasibility assessments.
- Support the preparation of project documentation for seamless engagement with potential financiers and investors.
- Collaborate with technical and regulatory specialists to incorporate engineering, environmental, and compliance requirements into financial evaluations.
- Provide transaction-related analytical support across a diverse portfolio of advisory assignments.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in investment advisory, project finance, infrastructure finance, financial modelling, or development finance.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate real investment projects and build credible, complex financial models from scratch.
- Professional certification such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, or a relevant postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred.
- Prior working experience with development finance institutions (DFIs), project finance transactions, or sustainable investments will be a distinct advantage.
