Independent Project Monitoring Company Limited (IPMC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist - Social Performance, Labour & HSE Advisory to join our dynamic team of professional consultants. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping our clients in the oil and gas, infrastructure, and building sectors achieve their operational goals while maintaining the highest standards of safety, labour compliance, and social responsibility. We pride ourselves on delivering tailored technical, economic, and management solutions, and you will work alongside seasoned industry experts to safeguard project integrity and community relations across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive occupational health, safety, and social performance assessments for diverse industry projects.
- Evaluate workplace safety systems, labour practices, contractor management protocols, and emergency preparedness.
- Assess stakeholder engagement frameworks, grievance mechanisms, and community-related risks to ensure robust social safeguards.
- Develop effective corrective-action plans and provide technical advisory on HSE and social compliance issues.
- Support infrastructure, industrial, and corporate due diligence assignments with meticulous risk evaluations.
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Health, Social Sciences, or a related discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of industrial HSE standards, labour compliance, and relevant international safeguards.
- Possession of NEBOSH certification, ISO 45001 training, or other recognized professional credentials is a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
