About the Role
Nile University of Nigeria, a prestigious multidisciplinary institution based in Abuja and a proud member of Honoris United Universities, is seeking a high-performing Specialist, Corporate Communications to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will develop and execute strategic communication initiatives that strengthen our reputation, enhance brand visibility, and foster meaningful engagement with internal and external stakeholders in a thriving academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media statements, and briefing notes while cultivating strong relationships with key journalists and media houses.
- Monitor media mentions, manage crisis communication responses, and provide timely analytical reports to senior leadership.
- Provide comprehensive communications support to executives, including speechwriting, talking points, and interview preparation.
- Manage the institutional content calendar to ensure consistency across digital platforms, websites, and social media channels.
- Plan and execute integrated ATL, BTL, and TTL campaigns in collaboration with agencies and internal teams to boost brand reputation and student enrolments.
- Develop engaging internal communication materials such as newsletters, intranet articles, and event messaging to foster a connected workforce.
- Produce corporate profiles, annual reports, success stories, and thought-leadership articles highlighting institutional achievements.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven experience in corporate communications, preferably within higher education or comparable complex organizations.
- Relevant professional certifications in Public Relations, Media Relations, or Corporate Communications are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in media relations, crisis communication, copywriting, and multi-channel campaign management.
- Strong personal and professional integrity with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
