We are currently seeking a passionate and compassionate Special Need Facilitator to join our client's inclusive learning environment in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by delivering tailored support that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide dedicated one-on-one support and facilitate learning for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Implement and monitor students’ Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and specific learning goals.
- Conduct continuous assessments and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of students’ academic and behavioral progress.
- Apply Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and other evidence-based learning strategies effectively.
- Coordinate and supervise Aftercare Programmes and engaging group activities.
- Support students’ holistic development covering academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and life-skills.
- Maintain a safe, structured, stimulating, and child-focused learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Learning, Directress, and Programme Coordinator regarding classroom and student needs.
- Communicate professionally with parents and escalate significant concerns when necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive student and session reports while strictly adhering to school policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Facilitator, preferably within a special needs setting.
- Previous background working as an educator, teaching assistant, therapist, or childcare professional.
- Working knowledge of ABA principles and special-needs education methodologies is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Montessori or structured learning environments is an added advantage.
- Strong administrative, documentation, and basic computer proficiency skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high emotional intelligence and patience.
