About the Role

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester to join our expanding technology network in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining product excellence by designing rigorous test strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and scripts based on complex business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing across various platforms.
- Identify, document, and track software defects thoroughly through to complete resolution.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Managers to understand testing needs and mitigate risks early in the SDLC.
- Validate software functionality, usability, reliability, and performance against defined industry standards.
- Maintain accurate test documentation, results, and defect reports while providing timely feedback to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and automation initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of proven experience in software testing or quality assurance, preferably within fintech, banking, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of testing principles, SDLC processes, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on proficiency with defect tracking tools, API testing platforms like Postman, and database testing/SQL.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools, CI/CD pipelines, and performance testing is a distinct advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ISTQB will be highly valued.
