The Obaland Magazine, an established international media company operating in Nigeria and Italy, is looking for a creative and dedicated Social Media Manager to join our growing team in Benin City. Since 2009, we have delivered top-tier entertainment, news, fashion, art, culture, lifestyle, and business content to a diverse readership. In this role, you will play a vital part in expanding our digital footprint, managing online communities, and promoting our multimedia content across various social platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging daily content across all official social media channels.
- Monitor digital trends, analyze platform metrics, and report on campaign performance to optimize reach.
- Collaborate closely with editorial, journalism, and broadcasting teams to promote breaking news and special features.
- Manage online communities, respond to reader inquiries, and maintain a professional brand voice.
- Ability and willingness to work physically from our office in Benin City, Nigeria.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or relevant digital marketing role, with fresh graduates in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, or related fields also encouraged to apply.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for engaging digital storytelling.
- Demonstrated creativity, professionalism, and the ability to meet strict publication deadlines.
- Basic technical proficiency with digital media tools, analytics platforms, and content management systems.
